OUR SERVICES

All Domestic Violence Project (DVP) services are free, confidential, survivor-centered, and self directed.

Supportive Counseling

The Domestic Violence Project (DVP) provides individual supportive domestic violence counseling and access to individual therapy. Our supportive counseling is confidential and available to victims/ survivors of domestic violence.

Court Advocacy

DVP advocates are here to support victims/survivors with navigating systems such as court procedures, accessing benefits through Department of Social Services, referrals to legal and other community resources, and determining eligibility for crime victim’s compensation from NYS Office of Victim Services.

Shelter

We operate an emergency safe house for victims/ survivors and their children. DVP can assist you with safe housing options, discuss safety strategies in the home and community, and provide domestic violence supportive counseling. If our shelter is full, we can assist in finding a safe alternative place to stay until a bed is available at DVP.

On-Site Resources

DVP has on-site, free resources for victims/survivors of domestic violence and their children. We accept donations of clean new and/or used in good condition clothing for women and children, toiletries, and household goods.

Support Groups

Every week, we host a support group for victims/survivors to attend. At this time, the DVP support group is virtual, and held on Zoom for the health and safety of our community.

Community Coordination

Our Domestic Violence Community Coordination Council (DVCCC) leads local efforts through community education and training to build a response to domestic violence focused on survivor/victim safety and offender accountability. To learn more about how to get involved, contact our office.

Youth Services

DVP provides support for children and teens exposed to and/or experiencing domestic violence.
